1. Acclimate the LVT

Let the product sit in the room for 48 hours at temperatures between 18–26°C to prevent expansion or shrinkage after installation.

2. Inspect Your Flooring

Check every plank or tile for visual or manufacturing defects. Do not install any damaged pieces.

3. Prepare the Subfloor

  • Ensure the subfloor is level, dry, and dust-free.
  • Concrete should have <75% relative humidity.
  • Timber should be <10% moisture.
  • Apply levelling compound if necessary.

4. Layout Planning

  • Do a dry run with your tiles and plan the layout.
  • Stagger joints by at least 150 mm.
  • Avoid small cuts at wall edges.
  • Maintain expansion gaps of 5–10 mm.

 

 

LVT Installation Techniques

Click System LVT

Start from the left corner and work across. Lock planks together at an angle and gently tap them in place. Use spacers for expansion gaps.

Glue-Down LVT

Spread adhesive in small sections using the correct notched trowel. Lay tiles with precision and roll the surface with a heavy roller. Wipe away any glue residue immediately.

 

After LVT Installation

  • Avoid walking on the floor for at least 24 hours.
  • Delay placing heavy furniture for 48 hours.
  • Clean only with pH-neutral cleaners.
  • Avoid wet mopping for 48 hours after glue-down installation.
